The clinician behind the diary

"The food you eat can be either the safest and most powerful form of medicine, or the slowest form of poison."

Dr Pascaline Ngu is a qualified Nutritional Therapist with a decade-plus career spanning physiotherapy rehabilitation across North America, Europe and Africa — working in orthopaedic, neurological, acute and mental health services. She currently practises part-time with the NHS as a Senior Physiotherapist.

Three years at the College of Naturopathic Medicine (CNM) — over 200 hours of clinical practice, biochemistry of food and evidence-based nutrition science — shaped her approach: nourishment as medicine, not restriction.

Nutrition is not about being hungry and feeling deprived. It's about nourishing your body with real, whole food so you're consistently satisfied and energised.

Your Menopause Diary is where that clinical practice becomes a daily habit — a place to log what's changing in your body and see the pattern, instead of guessing at it alone.

Inside the app

Four ways to keep the record

Everything you log becomes a pattern your future self — and, if you choose, your Nutrex coach — can actually use.

01

Symptom tracker

Log hot flashes, sleep, joint pain and mood in seconds, and watch trends build across weeks, not just days.

02

Food & nutrient diary

A weekly food diary that flags what's actually feeding your symptoms — no calorie shame, just information.

03

Move for menopause

Guided exercise built for bone density, muscle mass and cardiovascular protection through the transition.

04

Coach connect

Share your diary directly with a Nutrex nutritionist or physiotherapist when you're ready for 1:1 support.

Nutrition specialties

Support for what's actually going on in your body

Nutrex works across the conditions most likely to surface during and after menopause — and beyond it.

Weight & metabolism

Weight loss

A bespoke programme to support sustainable, healthy food choices — not a crash diet.

Blood sugar

Diabetes

Tailored diet and exercise addressing weight gain, tiredness and blood sugar spikes.

Heart health

Hypertension & cardiovascular

The DASH diet approach to lower cholesterol, blood pressure and improve cardiovascular markers.

Cortisol

Stress

Regulating cortisol and breaking cycles of impulsive, sugar-heavy eating driven by stress.

The core focus

Menopause

Supporting the drop in oestrogen that raises cardiovascular risk, through diet and exercise.

Hormonal

PCOS & fibroids

Nutrition strategies to manage PCOS symptoms, and natural approaches to balance hormones around fibroids.

Digestive

Gut health

A diet plan that eases bloating, constipation and heartburn by improving gut balance.

Whole-body

Immune & mental health

Nutrient-rich eating that supports immune function, mood, energy and mindful eating habits.

Physiotherapy services

Movement, rebuilt around your history

Individualised physiotherapy from a Senior NHS physiotherapist, HCPC and CSP registered.

Post-surgery rehabilitation

Individualised exercise after hip or knee replacement to rebuild range of motion, strength and gait.

Arthritis & joint pain

Assessment of muscle strength and joint range, with techniques to keep joints working well.

Plantar fasciitis

Support for heel and arch pain, usually worst first thing in the morning, for better muscle function.

Fall prevention

Bespoke balance training and strength work to reduce fall risk and improve gait quality with age.

Long Covid

Structured exercise addressing muscle atrophy, fatigue, breathing and balance after prolonged illness.

Pelvic floor strengthening

Strengthening the muscles behind bladder, vaginal and urinary function, and reducing prolapse risk.

Mental health physiotherapy

Movement awareness and physical activity used to support wellbeing alongside mental health care.

Neuromuscular physiotherapy

Treatment for disorders affecting muscles, nerves, or the junction between the two.

Back & neck pain

Reducing pain and stiffness while improving range of motion, strength and posture.

Exercising for menopause

Why movement matters more right now

Exercise through menopause isn't optional extra credit — it changes four measurable outcomes.

Reduces weight gain

Counters the shift toward abdominal fat and muscle loss common around menopause.

Lowers cancer risk

Helps maintain a healthy weight, which may protect against breast, colon and endometrial cancer.

Strengthens bone

Slows bone loss during and after menopause, lowering the risk of fractures and osteoporosis.

Protects mood

Regular activity is linked to lower risk of depression and cognitive decline.

Information, terms & conditions

The short version of the policies that govern every Nutrex consultation.

Physiotherapy and nutrition services are provided to individuals of all ages, regardless of gender, colour, ethnicity, creed, national origin or disability, to treat disease, injury and disability through examination, evaluation and rehabilitative intervention. Every procedure is explained to you before you're asked to perform it.

Response to physiotherapy varies from person to person, so an exact outcome from a given modality or exercise protocol can't be guaranteed. There's a possibility that treatment may temporarily aggravate existing symptoms. You're entitled to decline any part of your treatment at any time, and to ask about the reasoning behind your treatment plan, its risks and its benefits.

Settling fees is the client's responsibility, not that of a medical insurer or third party — if an insurer or third party hasn't paid within 45 days, you'll be asked to cover the fee personally. If self-funding, payment for the initial assessment is due at least a day before your consultation.

Please give at least 24 hours' notice if you can't attend an appointment, or you'll be charged in full. Appointments booked within 24 hours of the appointment time are non-refundable if cancelled.

All information collected during your assessment and treatment remains strictly confidential under UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act. Full details are available via the UK government's legislation site.
